Instructions
- Have a second RIM available to use as a jig to hold Pins in place as they set.
- Due to epoxy fumes, use SAFETY-GLASSES and Respirator Mask (MASK-N95) for these steps.
- In a well-ventilated area, mix A/B Epoxy (EPOX) as directed in a small disposable cup using a disposable stirrer.
- Note that once epoxy is mixed, you will have a limited amount of time to work.
- Using a Toothpick or similar instrument, apply a coating of Epoxy to the inside of one of the holes on the RIM. Take care to not apply too much epoxy, coating the inside of the hole will suffice.
- Press a Shelf Pin Sleeve (SLV-025) all of the way into the expoxied hole.
- Apply a coating of Epoxy to the inside of the Shelf Pin Sleeve. Again, take care to not apply too much epoxy. Coating the inside of the sleeve will suffice.
- Press a Shelf Pin (PIN-175025) all of the way into the expoxied Sleeve.
- The Sleeve might pop up a bit. Push it back down if necessary.
- Repeat for the remaining holes, Sleeves, and Pins.
- Without applying epoxy, fit the second RIM on top of the Pins to hold them upright and steady while they set.
- Wipe off any excess epoxy. Hopefully there won't be much if any.
- Sleeves may have popped up a bit. Push them back down if necessary.
- Monitor for about 15 minutes while epoxy sets. Sleeves may still pop up during this time. Push them back down if necessary.
- After a couple of hours, the epoxy should be set enough to allow the second RIM to be removed.
