Instructions

  1. Have a second RIM available to use as a jig to hold Pins in place as they set.
  2. Due to epoxy fumes, use SAFETY-GLASSES and Respirator Mask (MASK-N95) for these steps.
  3. In a well-ventilated area, mix A/B Epoxy (EPOX) as directed in a small disposable cup using a disposable stirrer.
  4. Note that once epoxy is mixed, you will have a limited amount of time to work.
  5. Using a Toothpick or similar instrument, apply a coating of Epoxy to the inside of one of the holes on the RIM. Take care to not apply too much epoxy, coating the inside of the hole will suffice.
  6. Press a Shelf Pin Sleeve (SLV-025) all of the way into the expoxied hole.
  7. Apply a coating of Epoxy to the inside of the Shelf Pin Sleeve. Again, take care to not apply too much epoxy. Coating the inside of the sleeve will suffice.
  8. Press a Shelf Pin (PIN-175025) all of the way into the expoxied Sleeve.
  9. The Sleeve might pop up a bit. Push it back down if necessary.
  10. Repeat for the remaining holes, Sleeves, and Pins.
  11. Without applying epoxy, fit the second RIM on top of the Pins to hold them upright and steady while they set.
  12. Wipe off any excess epoxy. Hopefully there won't be much if any.
  13. Sleeves may have popped up a bit. Push them back down if necessary.
  14. Monitor for about 15 minutes while epoxy sets. Sleeves may still pop up during this time. Push them back down if necessary.
  15. After a couple of hours, the epoxy should be set enough to allow the second RIM to be removed.
